Don’t Get Caught Out in the Rain

A personal umbrella liability policy can provide an additional layer of liability coverage – over and above your primary policies.

In the event of a covered loss, your homeowner and automobile policy will cover your liability exposure up to the limit set in the policy.  However, in our litigious society, it would be wise to have an extra layer of liability protection.

Additionally, many umbrella policies will cover additional exposures not covered under primary policies, such as libel, slander, and personal injury.  A $1,000,000 personal umbrella policy can cost as little as $125 annually, depending on your exposures (number of homes, vehicles, watercraft, recreational vehicles, youthful operators).  Higher limits are also available at very affordable rates.

Because the personal umbrella policy goes into effect after the underlying coverage is exhausted, there are certain conditions that must be met.  The primary underlying personal liability limit required for the standard homeowner policy is usually $300,000 and $500,000 for automobile.

Purchasing a personal umbrella policy is a good financial decision for any individual who owns a home and automobiles… providing additional protection over existing policies and affording additional coverage not available under primary policies.

It is our goal to make sure you have the best coverage and are never under insured.
